Overview

Purpose
The purpose of this workshop is to bring speakers from across the country to explore state of the art teaching techniques.

Learner Outcomes
Nursing Faculty will appraise collaborative strategies to prepare student nurses to become practice ready creating a safe culture for ensuring quality patient care.

Registration Limits for In-person Attendees
Simulation workshop on 5/23/2022 is limited to 40 in-person participants. Due to Covid-19 protocols, day 2 of the faculty workshop, 5/24/2022, at Karpff Auditorium will be limited to 50 in-person attendees. Availability will be on a "first-come first-serve basis."

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, University of Kentucky HealthCare CECentral is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

CNE

The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC).

This educational activity is offered for a maximum of 12.75 ANCC contact hours.

The Kentucky Board of Nursing (KBN) approves The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing (UKCON) as a provider as well. ANCC and KBN approval of a continuing nursing education provider does not constitute endorsement of program content nor commercial sponsors. The University of Kentucky does not approve commercial products. This educational activity is offered for a maximum of 15.3 KBN contact hours.

Provider #: 3-0008-12-23-0291. In order to receive credit, participants complete this CNE activity and submit a credit application and evaluation form online. Certificates may be printed once the evaluation is completed.

Parking

Parking for the event will be available in UK Medical Center Parking Garage. Parking vouchers will be provided each day. Instructions for parking will be emailed to registrants prior to the conference.
