Overview

The purpose of the conference is to provide updates on the latest approaches in pharmaco-medical therapy and percutaneous technologies for the treatment of cardiovascular disease. The conference will have a special focus on the latest developments in interventional cardiovascular medicine, inclusive new structural heart disease, complex coronary and peripheral arterial disease, and pharmaco-therapy options.

The overarching theme is innovation in cardiovascular disease. Topics include: 

  • Updates and interpretation of recent pivotal interventional clinical trials
  • Current guidelines on platelet inhibitors and anticoagulation, inclusive newer therapies
  • Management of complex percutaneous management of peripheral arterial interventions
  • Practical application of FFR, iFR and CFR into clinical practice
  • Emerging technologies and application in structural heart disease therapy
  • Analysis of complex cardiovascular case presentations

This course features lectures, presentations, discussion of complex cases, and debates between interventionalists and surgeons encouraging audience participation and discussion.

Call for Abstracts

Residents and fellows are encouraged to submit an abstract for consideration for a Rapid Fire presentation - 10-minute presentation with 5-minute discussion - during the Case Scenarios session from 3:05-4:20 PM. The deadline to submit an abstract is Saturday, February 1, 2020. Abstract acceptance notifications will be emailed by the end of February.

Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words, include one learning objective (see Learning Objectives Guidelines under the Download Materials button), and a completed Speaker Information Sheet and Financial Disclosure Form (located under the Download Materials button).
