Healthcare workers have distinct training backgrounds and roles in patient care and medical, mental, and substance use healthcare services often operate independently from each other. Understanding care navigation can assist in providing person-centered care.Target Audience

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:- List the levels and settings of medical care, mental health care, and substance use care
- Identify various healthcare workers and their roles in patient care
- Describe opportunities and challenges in care navigation for people with substance use disorders and co-occurring medical and mental health conditions
