Needs Statement

Maintaining recovery often requires keeping a detailed schedule, active planning, and being accountable to your support network. During the holidays, many people have different schedules, travel, and see new and different people. 

The changes in schedule, location, and support network may cause "triggers" or require additional support. By understanding how holidays can impact recovery, people in recovery and people supporting others can plan accordingly during the holidays.

Physicians, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Pharmacists, Social Workers

 

Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

• Review information about relapse prevention and how to deal with difficult situations during the holidays. 
• Identify common triggers and cravings during the holidays and review responses to those triggers and cravings.
