ILPQC works closely with the Illinois Department of Public Health Regionalized Perinatal System, state health agencies, associations, and advocacy groups to improve obstetric and neonatal care to reduce maternal and infant morbidity and mortality.

With the opioid crisis continuing & worsening, it is essential for every hospital to identify pregnant patients with OUD and provide optimal OUD care for every patient, every time, to save lives. 

Target Audience

Healthcare professionals interested in successful quality improvement initiatives that could be implemented in delivery hospitals.

Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
1. Review the background on opioid epidemic and implications for perinatal care
2. Discuss the MNO aims, key strategies and resources
3. Describe the MNO-OB progress and data review
