Biosketch
Sara Brouse, Pharm.D. joined UK Healthcare as a Cardiovascular Pharmacy Clinical Specialist in 2011. Formerly, she served as an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Vice Chair for Residency Programs at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy and an Advanced Practice Pharmacist in Cardiology at the VA North Texas Healthcare System. She also served as the Program Director for the PGY2 Critical Care Residency at the Dallas VA Medical Center.
Sara actively participates in several professional organizations, including the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). She has been invited to speak locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally on topics related to acute coronary syndromes, acute heart failure, and sedation/analgesia in the critically ill. Her research interests include cardiac drug-induced adverse effects and studying drug therapy in acute decompensated heart failure and refractory angina.
