Biosketch
Kate Probst, PharmD, BCACP is a clinical community pharmacist for Walgreens pharmacy where she has worked to expand pharmacist provided services for their Louisville and Southern Indiana districts over the past seven years. She earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from the University Of Kentucky College Of Pharmacy and completed her Post Graduate Year One (PGY-1) pharmacy practice residency through the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lexington. During her time at Walgreens she has served as the immunization, medication therapy management (MTM) and point of care testing lead for 30 to 60 community pharmacy locations. She is also the residency coordinator and primary preceptor for a community residency program in collaboration with Sullivan College of Pharmacy.
Dr. Probst was awarded the APhA Immunization Champion honor in the individual practitioner category at the 2010 annual meeting in Washington, DC to recognize her pharmacist lead collaboration with the local health department during the H1N1 pandemic in 2009. She was appointed to the Louisville Metro Board of Health in 2013 and served two years before being nominated and voted in as the current Vice-Chair of the Louisville Metro Board of Health. Significant contributions to local public health efforts include active workgroup participation on the following committees: ACA Enrollment Committee, ACA Health Education and Literacy Committee, and Louisville Metro Syringe Exchange Program.
