Haithem Elhadi Babiker is originally from Sudan and moved to the US to pursue further surgical training. Having an overseas background is something that Haithem deeply cherishes and is continuously humbled by it.
Haithem completed his dental education in Sudan and then travelled to India to complete medical education. He then moved to the US and attended the prestigious University of Pennsylvania and obtained another dental degree. He then went on to pursue oral maxillofacial surgery residency, general surgery residency and then plastic surgery residency training from the University of Cincinnati. In 2013 he joined Cincinnati children’s Hospital Medical Center as a fellow, and then stayed on as an Assistant Professor in plastic and craniofacial surgery. Haithem’s unique background having both dental and medical training; and being double boarded in plastic surgery and oral maxillofacial surgery; in addition to fellowship training in pediatric craniofacial surgery, puts him among an elite group of about 30 surgeons in the nation with such qualifications.
Haithem has been named as the director for the TCC. He has vast experience in jaw surgeries and distraction in general. He travels overseas regularly on mission trips to perform and lecture on jaw surgeries and distraction.
