Biosketch
Ms. Gleason has over 25 years in the nursing profession, with the past 18 years in the area of hospice and palliative care.
She earned an undergraduate degree in Education from University of Michigan. Continuing her education, she completed a graduate degree in Social Work from Boston University. Her interest in healthcare led her to another graduate degree, this time in nursing leadership and management.
Before moving to Kentucky, Ms. Gleason was the Clinical Manager of Palliative Care at The Denver Hospice. There she led her team to three consecutive HHCAHPS Honor Awards and the Circle of Life Award in 2013. As a member of the CAPC Community-based National Workgroup, she contributed to both the curriculum and guide, which are published on the CAPC website.
Ms. Gleason has given presentations on palliative care, advanced directives, and serious illness communication both locally and nationally and is a member of the Kentucky MOST Coalition.
