Biosketch
Dr. Groner is a Professor of Clinical Surgery at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. He is the trauma medical director of the Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Program at Nationwide Children's Hospital and the medical director of the Center for Pediatric Trauma Research. He is also a full-time faculty member of the Division of Pediatric Surgery and has a busy clinical practice that covers not only trauma and burns, but also acute care and general pediatric surgery. Dr. Groner's research interests include the impact of trauma on minority children, firearm-related trauma, ATV-related injuries, and child abuse. He has a strong interest in medical ethics and has written extensively about the role of physicians in capital punishment. Dr. Groner is a past president of the Central Ohio Trauma System and served as secretary of the Pediatric Trauma Society for 2 years.
