Biosketch
Dr. Shenoi earned an MD from the Trivandrum Medical College, Kerala State, India, where she completed a pediatric residency. She subsequently completed a pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of New Jersey followed by a Pediatric Critical Care fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta.
She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics and Critical Care Medicine.
Clinical interests include Curriculum Development, Resident Education, and Teaching in Resource Limited Settings.
Dr. Shenoi is actively involved with resident teaching and mentoring and was instrumental in setting up Pediatric Fundamental Critical Society Course (PFCCS) courses for residents at the Kentucky Children’s Hospital. She serves on several national committees for Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) including the Pediatric Resident Education and Recruitment Committee, National Quality and Safety Subcommittee and PFCCS Committee. She is an international consultant for PFCCS courses and has developed curriculum for SCCM, World Pediatric Critical Care foundation and American Academy of Pediatrics. On behalf of the Pediatric Critical Care foundation, Dr. Shenoi volunteers developing and teaching sustainable critical care foundation curriculum in resource limited global settings and has conducted training programs in seven countries so far.
Asha’s research has focused on wellbeing and burnout among pediatric healthcare providers and she is the physician champion for the PICU self-care group at Kentucky Children’s Hospital.
