Biosketch
Brittan’s accreditation experience began at the Rockingham County Department of Public Health where she played an integral part in the department’s accreditation process through the North Carolina Local Health Department Accreditation program. In 2007, Brittan joined the staff at the North Carolina Institute for Public Health at UNC Chapel Hill as a State Accreditation Coordinator for the NC Local Health Department Accreditation program. Prior to joining PHAB, Brittan served as the Accreditation Administrator for NC’s program, thus bringing a wealth of knowledge and public health accreditation experience to PHAB.
Brittan lives in Greensboro, North Carolina, and holds a Masters in Public Pealth from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
She is currently the President of the North Carolina Public Health Association, a Past-President for the North Carolina Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE), Past-Speaker of the House of Delegates for National SOPHE, and Past-President of UNCG’s Health & Human Sciences Alumni Association Board. Brittan is also a Certified Health Education Specialist.
