Biosketch
Pat holds a BA and MA in Recreation Therapy and an MA in Dispute Resolution.
Prior to joining the Council staff, Pat was the Executive Director of a not-for-profit providing supports and services, including respite, fiscal intermediary service, and an affordable housing purchase program for individuals with development and other disabilities in Michigan. Her experience also includes case management for individuals leaving institutional settings.
Pat is Past President of the National Association of Council on Developmental Disabilities and has also served and continues to serve on various committees at the local, state, and national level. She has experience in group facilitation and conflict management. She is a state mediator and group conflict facilitator. She is also involved in emergency response as a member of Kentucky Crisis Response and National Animal Assisted Crisis Response. Pat has an interest in Emergency Response for individuals with access and functional needs and has spoken nationally on the topic to predominately First Responders. Pat is active with various volunteer activities including Hospice, pet therapy, providing mediation and education to parents and teens, and working with women at the local county jail.
