Biosketch
Dr. Warshaw received his medical training at the University of Michigan and further residency and fellowship training at Duke University, The University of North Carolina, and at Edinburgh University in Scotland.
He joined the faculty at the University of Cincinnati after four years as assistant professor and director of Geriatric Medicine Programs in The Department of Community and Family Medicine at Duke University.
Dr. Warshaw is medical director of the UC Geriatric Evaluation Center in Cincinnati. He is also director of the Geriatric Medicine postgraduate fellowship training program for physicians at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Warshaw serves as medical director of Maple Knoll Village, a continuing care retirement community in Springdale, Ohio.
He is a past president of the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) and the Association of Directors of Geriatric Academic Programs (ADGAP). Research interests include geriatric medicine education, preventive health care for the elderly, the impact of hospitalization on older patients, and the long-term care/acute care interface.
