Overview

The IBH Conference will incorporate training on Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT), providing conference attendees with skills for substance abuse screening and for planning and implementing brief interventions. Participants will learn strategies for facilitating effective case management during the referral to treatment and post-discharge (follow-up) phases of care for individuals with substance abuse problems. The IBH Conference will include a panel discussion of local substance abuse treatment agency representatives, who will discuss approaches for supporting continuity of care for clients.
