Needs Statement
Pharmacists in most every US state are now authorized to administer immunizations/vaccinations. Immunization science and vaccine schedules are a constantly evolving area. It is critical that pharmacists remain abreast of changes to immunization schedules and tables. Most recently, the outbreak of H1N1 influenza has highlighted the role of the pharmacist in mass immunization and public health programs. This educational session will increase pharmacist knowledge of immunization science and recent changes to immunization tables.Target Audience
Any healthcare provider interested in improving patient care.Objectives
