Needs Statement

Much of the clinical teaching that takes place in health education today occurs in outpatient clinics. In this ambulatory setting, increased pressure for productivity often requires seeing more patients. Clinicians must balance this with effective patient care and clinical teaching. This talk is intended to present several methods and models to achieve this balance.

2. Identify teaching methods employed by preceptors;
3. Describe the general principles of the learner-center precepting models;
4. Identify methods or models that could be useful in your specific practices.
